Educate me on aimpoint / eotech
I want to replace my $80 red dot with something more reliable that can actually hold a zero. I've narrowed my choices down to eotech 512 / aimpoint ml2/3.
They are both good optics, and I can't narrow my choice down to one. It's going on a rifle that will be used for home defense and semi freqent range time.
I want to put a magnifier on it later sown the road and they both have good optics.
The main thing that's making me lean towards the aimpoint is the parallax effect on the eotech. But on the other hand, lots of troops use the eotech so if they're good for them, they should be good for me too.
