depends on how you "define" fraud. Ebay defines "fraud" as folks who collect money and never intended to ship product. I'll agree that less than 1% of ebay falls into that catagory.
Now...what percentage falls into the catagory of false advertising, bull****, and crap products? I'll say that's at least 10%.

that sucks. i got jipped out of 21 bux from a guy selling car parts in NY. never sent them. now his feedback sucks and he doenst respond to emails and all his feedback is hidden.
umm excuse me. how can you have hidden feedback? ebays policy needs to change. luckily i only deal with stores who sells lots of stuff all the time.

I think your feedback get hidden when you change user name (keep the account but just change the user name). It's hidden for 1 month I guess.
I'm luck.. I did two deals from people I found on ebay, but the deals was not on ebay. Just after I sent money, I found out that these 2 people had quit ebay...
Fortunatly, I received my shift knob two weeks ago and my subs are on their way, got the tracking number today!
At least, there's some decent people on ebay too.

i've bought a lot of stuff off ebay (over 100 items) and i only had 2 bad experiences..most of ebay sellers are for real, but i do agree that alot of the sellers boost their items up alot by saying how wonderful and brand new they are when in reality they aren't frown
when i had my computer business, i sold a lot of video cards on ebay. 9 out of 10 sales were good. one guy in singapore paid with a cc, but then denied the charge when he got his statement. i quickly found out that cc companies afford sellers no legal recourse to international fraud, even though i had a signature confirmation of delivery. f_you_ma other than that, i've bought and sold countless items, and everything has gone well. but i do boost up my items to get them sold. how do you think i got rid of a turbo with a chip in the compressor wheel for more than i paid for it? :-d
