I was in line last night at the grocery store picking up dinner and this woman in front of me was paying with a personal check. Who in the world still uses them, other than this lady? laugh.gif I dont think I have paid any bills with a check in about 2 years. Everything is all done with my check cards or online transfers.

 

I use them to pay the rent and my doctor bill. He decided to stay away from accepting credit, but he's an old dude.

 

I still use them to pay my water bill every 3 months. The water authority is still doing business the caveman way, and hasnt quite come up to modern century. So I have to send in a check every quarter since they dont take online transfer or plastic. So I basically use 4 checks a year. laugh.gif

 

I use them for my utilities...

 

I use them for power and gas because they want to charge me "convenience" fees for paying online, even though online costs them less.

 

I pay about half my bills with checks still.
