Do you save cash in case of emergency?
Like under your mattress or in a safe? I have 2 weeks worth of pay saved up in random hidden spots in my house just in case. Dont get me wrong, I keep my money in the bank like everyone else but I feel better knowing that I have that cushion saved up in my house if I cant ever get access to my money in the bank.

No large bills... but I do have a 6 gallon glass jug I'm filling with change. I'd say it's about 1.5-2gal full lol

No, not readily accessible. It does not good sitting in a savings account with next to zero returns. I either keep enough in my checking to use on a daily basis, use a credit card for bigger purchases and pay it off by next month, or put extra into a retirement fund where it's not only making a lot of returns but is accessible by the next day should a REAL emergency hit. Of course I'll take a 10% penalty on it if I do.

I got 4 cents (not kidding) from my insurance. Time to put a new roof on.. so I did have some saved. Not anymore. Glad I pay them as much as I do per year.
