^ Yeah I think it's funny.
Image ready creates gif's? Really. Dammit I had this and I didn't even know it. mad.gif
Is it just as easy as this program in terms of lining up the frames?

^ yes - even easier. You essentially make each layer a frame, and because you can duplicate layers, then move them around, add to them, subtract from them, etc, it makes it SUPER easy.
You can also control how fast your animation goes, if it should pause for a short time at any particular frame, and how many times it should repeat (loop).
Although my sig is not an animated cartoon, it is an animated gif that was created in Photoshop and ImageReady.
What I typically do is create the animation in Photoshop because it has more power and tools than ImageReady. Just think of each layer as a frame.
Then, while you're in Photoshop, click the button in the image shown below to export your work directly to ImageReady where you can create the animation:

Although AniTuner is free, Yeah, Image Ready is much better. I used that for my avitar. You can take video and turn it into animated gifs. the tricky part is reducing the time, quality, height, width, colors and difusion methods to make a good qulity image that's small enough for the web.fing02.gif
