Does anybody here use eBooks? I know they're becoming more common, but I'm curious to get the opinions of others. Does anyone in here use a Kindle or Sony eReader? Or read books on their iPhone? What improvements would you like to see on those devices?

- Pros/Cons to traditional books?
- Use in educational setting (online, not Kindle)
- Level of readability?

I work for a large book distributor. Some of our other companies include Print on Demand and Digital eBooks. We have a company that provides content for online libraries and schools, so you have your books electronically, accessed through a website to allow search capabilities and note collaboration with other students/professors.

Does anyone use eBooks in college courses? What drawbacks do you see to having physical books? I know my wife has an Econ course coming up this summer, and the book is online at half the price ($80 vs. $152).

i've seen one kindle in my life, and i thought it was the coolest thing in the world. the convenience factor of it is overwhelming.

the guy showed me the size of the font on the screen and its not painful to the eyes. The only negative i could see from it is that staring at an LCD screen for such a long time can't be comfortable.

I know if i were a huge reader of books, i would definately consider purchasing one of those.

from the limited news I've read recently, they're now offering the L.A. Times daily on the Kindle. And the wireless is free through Sprint's network.

i just use my library resources. but if you're not in school, google book. last i heard the Kindle was a huge success, and the new one is going to be even bigger success. i haven't used it, but if i see an example at the mall i will evaluate it. people once said the Internet would be a failure...
