So ok...I've spun the last 5 years in a clubon New Years Eve, and this year I took it off because I wanted to have some fun and enjoy myself.
Well, a booking request came in last night from a club thats about an hour from me. They want to book me on New Years Eve to spin from 11-4, and they are willing to pay me 2 grand, plus put me up in a hotel for the night.
So what do I do? Its about what I get for out of town gigs, but this isnt really out of town since its only about an hour from me. On one hand, I want to just get crazy with friends for once, but on the other hand...I'm single (no girl to be with on that night) and its really good money for 5 hours of work.
Soooo...what the hell do I do?

If your set in the money department and don't need it I would turn it down and enjoy yourself. you spoke a few times that you were wanting to enjoy yourself this year. 2G for 5 hours of work is great, but if its not what you had planned your not going to enjoy it as much.
i also assume thats 11pm to 4 am right?

1. The money IS great.
2. You don't need the money.
3. You would rather party that night, and have been looking to having NYE off.
If I was me, I would work it, no question. But if I was you, I would not work it.

1. The money is decent for what I normally get for out of town bookings
2. I dont need it, but even Bill Gates wont refuse an offer to add to his bank account
3. I can still party...just from behind the booth, and afterwards at the hotel
I'm leaning more towards actually doing it. I'm going to be calling the club owner either tonight or tomorrow and talk to him some more about it. I would have to leave my house around 9:30 to get out there, check into the hotel, get picked up by the club owner or promotion company, set up at the club, and then do my thing. I have a bunch of friends I know in the city who will come out and party it up also at the club all night, so its not like I would be there and not know anyone.
Definitely got more thinking to do fo sho!
