I know there was a thread like this one out there a year ago or so, but I can't find it after searching for 30 minutes. I dunno, maybe I'm stupid but it's not there anymore. If it is, Alex feel free to merge this. THX fing02.gif Why should we have one? I know of a few people with nice cameras on this site that like taking pictures, and I'm sure the rest of you like looking at them. wink1.gif If it takes up too much space or something, then just delete it I guess.

Rules,
1.) Must be your photo(s)
2.) Keep it clean
3.) (optional) feel free to share how you took your photos, or the work that went into them. Maybe you can spark some interest in the other photo nerds on this site.

Here's some I posted in another thread of a local stretch of 17 miles of fun driving through a mountain range, between Prescott and Cottonwood, AZ.

and this is the one that proves the planet goes round lol.gif . the bright one not moving is the North Star.

Whiplash, someone can take a better photo with a 4 megapixel camera than with your 9. Yours will just print bigger. When taking quality pictures, it's more about the photographer than it is the camera (but a cool camera helps as well).

Strikeeagle, yea. The top ones are 2-8 minutes exposures around 7:30-8:30pm (here, that's sunset).

The one showing the movement of the stars is about a 30 minute exposure. You have to drive to the middle of NOWHERE to get a shot like that, you'd be suprised how much light you can pick up from cities miles away over time..
