trying to start a web service co. got to add in subtitle for some imported video, that's why i needed the new comp. it was tying up my server with the conversion process. used to much cpu. oh and intel is not the best thing for video. my dell is proof of that, it take 100% of the cpu when it's converting and i've got 4 gigs of ram.

^^^ dude, that's because video is "processor intensive". It always will take up 100% of processor if you're not using anything else at the time regardless of what type of processor you use, assuming that your HD and memory is quick enough to keep up.

the prob is that it locks up, alot. needed to move the process to another system so it wouldn't lock up.

try using some heat sink compound and also lower priority of decode. one or the other is your problem.

not my computer. just borrowing it. the encode is set a low priority. it's a dell, we all now all there good for.
