heres my question of the day. if a person commits adultery, should it be known to the public like a rapist, or child molester? i think it should so that people know what type of person another person is capable of. i dont classify adultery and rape/molest as the same thing but i think the public should know who cheats on their spouses.

haha I can't understand why you would think that. You say you don't classify it as the same but that's exactly what you're doing lol
There is a big difference between RAPE and adultery. Think about it.... if it's not against the law and not hurting anyone else then it's no ones business.
How is telling society that someone commited adaultry change anything.

your asking to have a law or some other system in place to keep track? If so you are substituting common sense and judge of character in a given situation.
so No.

I would not agree with this law so to speak.
+1 to these guys. What ever happened to personal accountability??? Adultery is nothing new and it'll never go away...

Well, the topic IS debatable. If posted on a church's forum. wink.gif
But I'm with the majority on this one, shouldn't be a list. If the spouse wants to publicly shame them, then that's okay with me though.

This idea is all mine... I didn't borrow it from anyone... You know what we could do? Make adulterers have some kind of marking on them to let people know. Oh, we could make them sew something on to their clothes. How would we make sure everyone knows what it means though? Hmmm... Well, adultery starts with an "A", so how about a big letter "A"? But what's to keep them from camouflaging it by making it blend into their clothes? I know, we require that the "A" be bright red, yeah, a nice shade of Scarlett. rolleyes.gif
I actually go the other way. Although I do think sex offenders should have to register, I don't believe the public should have access to the list. Only law enforcement. I believe people should either be in prison or 100% free. If they're a danger to society, keep them locked up.

The real failure is not keeping the dangerous ones locked up.
