That's why they teach you....look left, right, and left again. ALWAYS.
or anywhere else in the world..right, left, right.
That's pretty much the same thing that happened to a friend of mine last summer. He had to run home quick on his lunch break to get something from his house, on his way out of town (speed limit is still 35 but from the point of the accident its probably only a hundred feet or so until it turns into 55) he was going around 90~100 mph. A moving truck was pulling out of an intersection. He looked left, probably saw my friend and just didn't assume that he was going 90mph, looked right and it was clear, then started pulling out. My friend on the other hand only saw the truck stopped and because he was going so fast probably didn't even have time to think once he saw the truck start coming out. Nothing happened to the truck driver, but my friend was left in extremely critical condition, he was helicoptered to a hospital and died a few hours later.
So this goes for anyone on the road..if you're in a car, always look twice..if you're speeding excessively....please don't. It's just stupid. And if you're on a bike, always wear a helmet..those things are made to protect your brain even in very high impact crashes. I know there's a few guys on here who own bikes, and it's about that time now where the weather's getting warmer.

dude... i understand what you are saying with the Left right left thing... and trust me, i do it... but nobody should be going that fast on a bike or car for that matter. Your friend was being stupid... the person from the wreck... stupid again. i had a friend get killed on one doing about 130... again, stupid. at least in a car you are just a little protected (still dont do it tho)... on a bike you are just screwed no matter what. stupidity kills
^^^ Darwin could not have said it better. Sorry, but I have no respect anybody who goes and get's themselves killed doing something stupid when they should have known better. If they kill somebody else in the process.. I feel extreamly sorry for the victims.
