Default CoPartFinder

Is anyone else having problems bringing their website up? I get the site, but none of the pictures / graphics come in, and I can't run a search. I put in my ZIP Code and it gives me an error within the site (Not a 404). sad.gif

Fugg that! I'm not going to pay $2 to risk learning that there are NO places nearby that have what I need.

Bradley - would there be a possibility of TeamSR getting in touch with CoPartFinder and getting some sort of group account? Somethere where we, as a group, pay an annual fee for unlimited searches using the group username, or get a group discount where all searches done using a group username cost less? I guess most of this would depend on how much the team is using this utility, and if it would be worth it to all of us in TeamSR to get a "license" for CoPartFinder.

Just a thought.

Random told too many people to go there so they had to get a bigger server and make people pay for searches hehehe

Well now what Random?

I am already in contact with them. Charging $1.95 a search is going to be the death of their website. They seem to think that it is a viable business model. (I'm in the process of ripping their business model to shreds.) (College was good for something).

If I manage to get anywhere with them I will let you guys know. If not...They will go down the tubes in 6 months...I guarantee it!

if someone is looking for USED parts...they don't have a spare $1.95 for a bum search. Otherwise they would have just bought new!

Fricking morons!

I agree with you 100%. A service online had better be DAYUMN GOOD to merit charging. If they're having problems keeping their head afloat, increasing the cost to the end-user (especially increasing from FREE) should be the last step they take. Raise the cost for wreck yards to post with them. Sell off some banner-ad space. Increase their visibility with wreck yards as a good marketing idea for the yards to increase business.

I used CoPartFinder because it was a convenient option over pulling out the Yellow Pages and going down the list of wreck yards in the area. That convenience was hardly worth $2 a pop.

Use me / TeamSR as direct testimonial in your relations to them. Offer them direct user response to their new "plan."
