Coolest / Fastest Cars You've Driven?
#1
Like the topic says?. I got to drive a 2000 Porsche 911, and a 2006 Mercedes G55 AMG a couple of weeks back. A friend of mine has a dad that has some cash and likes cars. He is getting the new 911 turbo in the summer, ill get to drive it.
Anyone driven any insane ferraris or supercars?

When I was a journalist at the car magazine I worked for I did test piloting, and I got to drive a Porsche 911, the last of the air cooled 911's and I pushed it to 170 MPH (273 Km/h) the fastest I have driven on pavement.
It was quite an experience.
I also got to test a brand new 97 Z28, it was a totally different experience, a niceone too, but different. Not my tyupe of car, but I must admit it was TONS better than I thought any Camaro would be; that car I could push up to 156 MPH, I think it had a speed governor.

Got to drive an old AMERICAN Ferrari/Porsche...
71-74 series DeTomaso Pantera
Friends dad owned one along with a TT 300Z and various project cars. Got to drive both actually. The Pantera with him in the pass. seat guiding me (it's a COMPLETELY different driving experience, you are LAYING down and shifting is like woah!... sad.gif ) and got to drive the TT 300Z at my discretion prom night...
I didn't go to prom...
and two guys here in my car club drive NICE cars that I drive occasionally at the track. One with a 2005 BMW M3, friggin beautiful in carbon black...
I've never pushed his car just drove nicely around town...
SOOO luxurious..
and I drive lots of porsche's when I tag along to the PCA (Porsche Club of America) Track events in Phoenix.
Back in Washington, I got to ride shotty in a Carrera GT driven by Craig Stanton(OMFG, ride of my LIFE!).
^^do you know who that is?
This isn't the actual car that we drove in, just a CGT that was down in PHX couple weekends ago at a PCA track day.
Craig let me sit in the driver's seat for about 30 minutes (to "watch" the car) and so many girls and car buffs were coming over to me
"Hey, Nice car man.."
"OMG, can I have a ride"...
LMAO lmao.gif I was 16. I'm just sittin there goin "yea, thanks" about to jizz my pants after feeling the steering wheel, shifter and adjusting the mirrors to my height...
and personally (in PHX @ PIR) I drove a
1975 911 Carrera Coupe #215 (guy in my car club)
1976 911S
1968 912
1985 930

The "fastest" car Ive driven was a 90' 300ZX Z32. It was great..and it felt really fast to me, I mean I had a 115hp car and then I drove a 200hp car..so big difference.smile.gif
The fastest car Ive been in but not driven was an 86' Buick Grand National. My dad originally bought it for me but I was too young and it was way too fast. Thats the first turbocharged car I was ever in. That car did 9 flat on the track. Love that car to this day smile.gif

Well, the GSX is fast, and its mine, although its in about a 1000 pieces ATM over winter\spring break LOL.
Cars faster than the GSX:
11.5 quarter mile STi... hella fun. Just drove this the other week, he finally let me drive it LOL. Drove very nice, I like the feel of the AWD better than my DSM.
My Dad's 10 second 69 Nova... PMGz. Drop it in 3rd and floor it, and u twist the back end around. Most fun ever LOL.
