Lets not forget that CLINTON decided to tell the banks, hey you know what you lend to people who cant pay back or you dont get anymore kick back from us...

If the banks can't do business without the Gov't. "kickbacks", they shouldn't be in business. They should have told Clinton to suck it. They CHOSE not to.

^ Because, just like Congress, all they saw was dollar signs!!
More people getting loans means for intrest coming into their pockets. They didn't care then if we could afford it or not. That's why we are in this mess now with the banks and other money lenders, the real estate market, and so forth... when you let people buy things beyond their means without a penalty something is going to give, and now we are feeling that backlash of that.

We can fight about politics all day, it's just one big circle of wasted time.

^ The interior sux.

Steezy, that's why we have an "Off Topic" forum. So us jerks can all sit around in a circle and . . . wait. . .

Some of us actually *enjoy* arguing about politics. Those who do not, are free to not click this thread.

i think the chrysler merger with Fiat is fine. good for them to get help if Fiat is up for it. most people didn't know what Fiat was until they heard about the merger. i just hate how they still want to keep a few of these companies afloat, and use taxpayer money to do it instead of fund education. hell, students even pay for their own paper, and new mandatory $800 tuition requirement every semester! WTF, students cannot afford to go to school, yet their parents' money goes to some useless car company instead.

hah @ UrSonVs

i've always been saying that. but most of Politics and the Media is just drama, and last i seen humans love drama and get paid for blaming each other senselessly. especially in court where more than half of it is utter bs. but i totally agree. just look at youtube and aol blog. some of those arguments can get real good, but if it's all being streamed into the internet it is USELESS. that energy, wisdom, and research be stuffed right back into the government's mouth instead of waiting for a reply from "Mike02893"

No it's much better here than other places. People really take it personally at ElantraXD, and they start calling names.

I have no problem with Fiat taking over Chrysler either. I Frikken DO have a problem with Cerberus, one of the biggest capital management groups out there, dumping ALL of Chrysler's LIABILITIES on the taxpayers and handing the choice bits over to Fiat. That's F'd up right there.

This is not the change you were looking for. nana.gif

We need to learn how to work together on this site, and in this damned country. EVERYONE knows there are issues, WTF aren't we fixing them? We'll all NEVER see Eye to Eye, but we sure as hell can fix this crap.

Step 1. TERM LIMITS FOR ALL POLITICAL POSITIONS!!!
Step 2. BAN ALL FORMS OF LOBBYING!!!
Step 3. Emplace a FLAT TAX, or a simple staged tax, and leave it the HELL alone!
Step 4. Kill all of the lawyers!
Step 5. Put some serious controls on elections. Do we REALLY need a 2 year long frigging presidential election? Do they really need to spend 1 BILLION on advertisements?
Step 6. Require a BALANCED BUDGET.

Sound like a good enough start?
