Default cleaning TB

I bought a used r-side throttle body for 125. I love it, works great/feels great on the highway, etc. It looks like crap tho...It's got white blotches all over it (originally chrome). I've tried rubbing alcohol, armor-all, etc. to clean it and make it shiny but the armor-all only makes the existing chrome shine. It's not like the chrome coating has been chipped away, I think it's still under there somewhere but anyone know of something good to make it shine again?

"Mothers" is the best when it comes to restoring the shine of chrome, aluminum, etc.

Or take it off, get the chrome cleaned off and get it powdercoated.

Shit yeah. Stuff looks great, is durable, and doesn't damage easily.

Durable to me means...

Stands up to heat, corrosion, and sunlight. Stresses like that.

Damage to me means...

Chips, cuts, dings, scratches.
