Civil war --- government versus citizens
Does anyone think a civil war would ever happen in this country with citizens fighting government or law officials? Alot of people are getting fed up with how the country is being ran. More and more militias are forming and eventually someone is going to snap and go full all out war on the government. If it ever does happen where the american people fight back against the government who do you all think would win?

I doubt there will ever be an uprising big enough to create a civil war. If it ever got to be so bad, the American people would just vote out the politicans that are screwing things up.

in 2008 the us people bought enough firearms to outfit the armies of china and India 4 times over. in Dec 2008 alone we bought over 1.5 Billion rounds of ammo.
There are more then enough armed men and women to take on any government threat...

Plus, you have to remember that the military men and women are Americans too. If it's really screwed up enough to cause an uprising it's going to be something most soldiers agree with so a lot of them won't fight us even when ordered to, or would even help us.
I don't know if it'll happen but the gov't is working towards causing it to happen. One executive order could abolish voting for example, presidents have been issuing unconstitutional executive orders for a while now. If it gets to that point there will be an uprising.
V, what about the way the gov't has been taken over by the 2 party system? There are almost no candidates that have a chance of winning that even remotely represent my interests. If we're picking between a giant douche and a turd sandwich for every election (we are) there is no way to vote new people in that will make changes.
