So, I was looking at my Car and Driver magazine i just got in the mail.

I was looking at the updates/new models/changes/whatever that they are doing to vehicles in the 09' Lineup.

I am aware that they are coming out with the Genesis, but was everyone aware that they listed the tiburon like this:

Dead: Tiburon

They are killing the tiburon?!?!?! Did everyone know this?

I didn't, maybe it's around on here, and I didn't catch it, but I had no idea. My wife had to wipe my tears away, and cuddle with me after I read this ( then picked me up off the floor in the fetal position ).

If theres a thread on this, somebody post the link to it.

Here's the link.

Tiburon is Dead Thread.

And yeah, we've known this for some time.

With Hyundai coming out with a AWD vehicle soon, I see them retiring the tiburon name for some years and using it on either that, or another car in a few years.

^well, judging on how they made it even worse, i'm kind of glad they got rid of it. everyone's been agreeing it's associated with a bad reputation and they don't want to keep it up. the sad part is how far they kept it compared to the Prelude, Celica, and Eclipse. I'd say it got the farthest, but kept making it look worse and worse, and the Genesis coupe looks like a big pile as well.

Not only that, they should have kept it a rally car, at least a Choinere's 4WD in the SCCA or WRC. I don't know how they don't think racing generates a fanbase of enthusiasts, tuners, and repeat customers.

The newest tiburon they came out with, i thought was ugly as sin.

But the 03-up until when ever they came out with that last body style, didn't look too bad.

I didn't like them at first, but they kind of grow on you, if they look a certain way.

But thats just my opinion.
