I just read that the Federal Trade Commission is looking into widespread gouging... and I agree.. the prices shot up 60 cents in three days after Katrina.. no way did the gas in the ground and at the refineries cost that much to make.. it was already at the distribution areas...

What really sucks.. those of us here in the Philly area do not get our gas from the Gulf.. Philly is one of the major refinery ports.. A lot of what comes from overseas comes through here.

They may say they are looking into it but come on how many of them you think have stock in that industry. They are just trying to make ppl think they are doing thier job.
Gas is now (as of last night) 3.19 for Reg Unleaded and supposed to get higher for the weekend. I dont even wanna look tonight what it is on my way home tonight.
There is no way that katrina caused the gas to go up that much.
We have 3 major oil refineries here so its not like it goes that far.

Maby Ethanol fuel will gain a foothold now. I wonder if it would be alright to put it Tiburons?

It was funny but it is 3.08 for gas now i hope it will go down but ive been saying that for about a year, I was gonna buy gas yesterday but i can wait till tues and hope theyll go down
