I guess it's time to say bye to the rdtib forums.
I had a lot of good times digging through the forums here and getting help and advice from all kinds of people and really appreciate all those who were so helpful.
I had to sell my 2001 Tib due to a deployment for which I am at Mobilization Training right now.
Thanks to everyone for making my time as a Tib owner enjoyable and relatively easy and I'll be back once I come back since I am addicted to Tiburons.
Take Care.

I hated Iraq. I was there just after the invasion durring the display of force of OIF1 and OIF2. We were getting mortared at least once a week. I spent alot of time ducking out of harm's way. I got blown up once. Things have settled down since then quite a bit. It sucked, but if the world didn't suck we'd all fall off. I remember hearing a live report from baghdad when I was in Ar Ramadi of a reporter screaming about incomming that happened a few hours ago and how Baghdad was so bad... I remember thinking he must have just got off the plane because ArRamadi was about 10x worse with no commodities. Good luck.
It's not as bad as it was anymore. They have burger king, pizza hut, and stuff like that. You'll probly have a real bed to sleep in and a chow hall. You'll probly have a PX that actually has everything you need to maintain your standars of hygene also! You'll have internet access if you don't mind waiting in line. I wouldn't mind doing a tour over there anymore. You get combat pay for living pretty decently. It's not Vietnam.
BTW.. Dont' take my word though, you may get it rough I dunno... I didn't have all of those luxuries, internet and chow hall came up about 6 month into my tour at Camp Ramadi. I just heard about all this stuff from some of my buddies who have been over there recently.

Chaco,
Good luck brother, hope you have fun in the Sand Box
MWood,
Enjoy Cuba, I spent a Month there. it sucks balls and boring as hell. Be careful of the Iguana's; smash one and it's a $1,000 fine.
