I have a dell dim 3k with 512 ram[ddsr or something] 2.3g pent 4 processor and a 160g hard drive. I was wondering if it is ok to burn a cd while I am surfing online? I heard it causes skips and or poor quality?

dude, you should be fine... just open windows task manager and then cd burner... make sure you have probably like 70% or less taken by the burning, then run your internet browser, and as long as its not at max you shouldn't have a problem.. if its hittin max, may wanna stop surfin....just my opinion

You know, having spent my teenaged years riding the waves, I thought you had a question about a rash or something that was burning while you went surfing.

You should be fine. What are your using to burn the cds? Nero and a few others have built in buffers to keep you from getting poor quality while doing other things.
