Just wondering because a friend gave me a set and I'm gonna keep them in my car.

 

In most states they're considered a deadly weapon like a gun or knife. If you hit someone with them you could end up doing some jail time. Just use your bare knuckles like everyone else. biggrin.gif

 

^ +1, can be counted as a concealed weapon as well.

Call your local police department and ask what their regulations are, but don't tell them you have them... Just that you were thinking about getting some for protection... Or something to that effect...

 

Im pretty sure there illegal to carry since it would be considered a concealed weapon. But do what 03 accent said and call your local PD to find out for sure.
