What do you guys think…should Valets be given this responsibility and withhold keys from customers based on their opinion, or should they just call the cops?

Yes yes, keep shifting blame from the people. Always someone else's fault.
Always someone else's responsibility. I'm going to drink like a fish, then expect everyone else around me to me to prevent me from driving.
So when a valet misses one guy who's obviously drunk, and the drunk guy kills someone, I can guarantee there's going to be someone suing the valet because HE didn't stop the drunk guy.
City Councilor Rob Consalvo says he decided something needed to be done after a 23-year-old on a scooter was mowed down by a drunken driver in Boston. The driver later said he was "blackout drunk" and couldn't believe that a valet guy actually handed him his car keys.
"I was stunned. I said to myself, 'Yeah, how could he have?' " Consalvo says.

Tell us how you really feel...But you're right...I agree that its dumb to hold the valet at fault. Then again, think of the laws surrounding bars. If someone goes into a bar, gets drunk, drives home, and kills someone...the bartender that served that person alcohol can be considered liable for it all.

Hell no, you want your car? Fine. Have it. Tip please.
I'm not going to risk being abused for not giving it to someone, or sued for wrongly giving it to someone.
