It's far from a pyramid scheme. You don't really make much money off of your referrals, it's mostly from YOUR involvement in the surveys. I've made no money from referrals in over a year. The only survey site I posted that pays based on referrals is SurveySavvy, and it's pretty minor. I've made $2 off of referrals... surprisingly, I've received quite a few offers this month from SurveySavvy, so in addition to what's shown below, I'm waiting for about $8 to be deposited into my account. In an attempt to provide full disclosure I have no problem showing my earnings for SurveySavvy. The ONE survey I earned referral money for is from right after I opened the account, probably a little over a year ago. SurveySavvy provides the least amount of surveys of any of the websites I'm part of, but they're one of the few that pays cash.

As you can see, the check I copied and posted in the original post has a matching name and payout amount, so yes this is my account. I removed my last name from the image above, but most of you know it already.

Before I posted the information, I had 12 referrals. I don't recall how many were "Referral Referrals" but I'm guessing between 3-5.

Any other questions?

btw... I didn't get a sex survey >;-[ and I just tried to qualify, answered a few questions about where I purchase car parts/accessories, and was told I didn't qualify (OP).
was the sexy survey on OpinionPlace or Survey Savvy?

Alright, I'm adding a new one here. I've been a member here forever, but the rewards didn't seem worth the time spent. I'm going to post the information and let you decide. I don't know what I receive (other than points) for referring members.

Global Opinion Panels sends me emails ALL THE TIME for surveys. I usually don't do them because I don't receive much for them. But, in 2007 they started a program of earning POINTS for surveys, and you redeem those points for Cash.

Their System:
$5 (5000 points)
$10 (10000 points)
$15 (15000 points)
$20 (20000 points)
$25 (25000 points)

I only have 3,020 points for all the surveys I've done. Not worth it IMO... BUT I actually read two of the e-mails I received today. Here they are
QUOTE
DEAR BRANDON,

A New Survey is Available!

With your permission, we are requesting the participation of the 24 year old male in your household.

Points: Earn up to 250 reward points PLUS an entry into our monthly sweepstakes (with 200+ prizes totaling $5,000).

Length: Approximately 5 minutes.

So, According to this, 250 points for a 5 minute survey. It happened to be on fragrances. For these small surveys, you'd have to do 20 surveys to get $5 and it'd take you an hour. BUT, then I received this e-mail:
QUOTE
DEAR BRANDON,
Do you want to be part of something exciting?

With your permission, we are requesting the participation of the 24 year old male in your household.

Hurry and take this exciting new studyabout your general interests! Which newspapers/magazines do you read? What TV programs/channels do you watch? What are your views on advertising? There is a lot to cover and who better to give an expert opinion on your interests than you!

This survey opens up more opportunities to obtain additional rewards for your opinions - complete this survey, and we will send a series of follow up surveys to you! Receive up to 3,000 points for each follow-up survey you complete, and we will also be rewarding additional bonus points for completing all the follow up surveys!

Points: Earn up to 1,500 reward points PLUS an entry into our monthly sweepstakes (with 200+ prizes totaling $5,000).

Length: Approximately 25 minutes.

So, this initial survey would be 25 minutes long and I'd earn 1,500 points... with 3,000 points for each follow up survey. They might ask you to watch a TV show and take a survey on it, or they might ask you to pay attention to commercials. This got me thinking it might pay off faster than others.

With Global Opinions Panel (synovate) you register the people in your household (my wife and I) and they send you surveys that specificall target you (hence, this asked for the 24 year old male - me). Also, if you don't qualify, they still give you some points for the questions you did answer during the screening process.

It appears the only incentive for referring a friend is that I would receive 2,000 bonus points. If you want an invitation, let me know and I'll e-mail it to you through Synovate's website.

I HAVE NOT received any cash payouts with this program and can not vouch for them, but I do feel they are legitimate.

I just took my first OpinionPlace survey for Paypal cash. It estimated 35 minutes for $5, but it took 22 minutes. Still earned $5. We'll see when it deposits into my account.

it was asking about which channels I watch, and was geared towards whether or not I subscribe to premium channels (I don't) and reasons why. Wasn't too bad

$5 hit paypal today. Took 11 days, but probably didn't process til the day after I took it so we'll say about 10.

OpnionPlace allows you to redeem airline miles, paypal cash, or credits towards your AOL account. The Paypal transaction came through as being from "AOL LLC"

Business Name: AOL LLC
Buyer Email: PayPal@dms-research.com
Payment Sent to: majiktib@gmail.com

Maybe it's owned by AOL? That's gotta have some sort of reputability

wow, that's great. $50 for sitting at home with the baby. Good job.

Does those websites provide any other forms of compensation, besides cash? How much work did you have to do for that much money (daily surveys, 2-3 a week)?

I'll definitely chck those out... although, it's getting harder and harder to take surveys at work not that we're getting busier and busier.

It doesn't hurt anyone to use her referral link, it only benefits her. No reason not to use it. A lot of places will provide benefits to both parties if a referral is used. Even Sprint rewards both the referrer and the referred party with cash.
