Bombay Terrorist Attacks - I'm 4 Blocks Away From The Blasts

Just got back after walking through puddles of blood and chaos, when a buddy of mine from Chicago and I tried to help. We got there too late. The smell of death, blood and the monsoon rain is in the air and several crowds were just standing there stunned.
I've never seen so many people (estimate 400,000+) moving so organized and working together to help. So far we have 150+ dead and several hundred wounded.
Just wanted to beg any of you to look at the news and do what you can to help. If nothing else, pray.
(For those of you who don't know, India is one of the oldest sworn enemies of terrorist Fundamentalist groups operating from the middle east)

8 seperate trains were hit with powerful explosives, all at the same time - during peak rush hour.
The trains are old, British made solid metal (iron etc). The carriages were ripped apart like tissue paper. The crowds were picking up body parts and putting them in bags.
There's alot you won't see on US airways unless you look for it. If you can help, please do.

All joking aside about the usual suspects, it is a horrible thing. Unfortunately, the rest of the WORLD needs to wake up and realize that this TERROR deal is the REAL DEAL and that it needs to be dealt with. This is the shape of things to come, and just the beginning.

I know what you mean. Here in Peru ( idk how many of you know about Peru; in the map it's on the middle of southamerica, on the Pacific Coast; right above Chile and below Ecuador; Ernst Hemingway liked to come here to fish Merlins on the north). Well, we had a brutal, killing group named "shining path", a self called maoist group that killed 20 THOUSAND people between 1980 and 1995, there were atrocious bombings, right in the middle of cities, they killed a lot of people from the governmet asigned to isolated areas were very poor people lived, killed a lot of army high ranked officers, kidnapped businessmen to collect randsome, and so on. Their strategy was to make poor people live even worse, so they convert to their cause, the thing is this poor people, although sometimes inclined to socialism and more radical political ideas, was not really violent. They killed judges and had many of judges under menace to be killed if they condemn their captured killers to high convictions, etc, etc.
This people really affected my teen age life, it was scarry to go out of your home.
In 1992 their leader was captured, after a really big intel work developed by joined forces from the Police (the FBI-kind part of the police, the army, navy intel and National Inteligence Agency); that SOB was living a very comfy life, drank 12 year old whiskey, had access to the most expensive medicins and so on; it was even shocking to his own followers. He was condemnd to life in prison, and then after the non-so-democratic government of Fujimori ended, the self beleived "human rights-democracy fighters" said his conviction was "ilegal" because he was judged by a military judge (no civil judge would have touched him) and he is now facing a new trial in which he could walk with just 15~20 years (but remember he already serviced 14) of prison. I hope they really become brave and condemn him to life in prison.

Thanks guys. Its tough to imagine something like this, sitting 10,000 miles away but just imagine what would happen if something like that happening to the states?

I did some "projects" in Peru during the end of that time period. I couldn't imagine having to grow up there during all that crap.
