hmm not a bad ad this year, bb is def tryin to get out of the hole they dug themselves into, i still say they will be closed by 2015.
they took away a good chunk of the employee discount (they claim it was cuz they didnt update "costs" properly...it was taken away shortly after the quarterly totals came out), fired the CEO that was in place for most of the time the company has been opened, fired a CFO, closed down somethin like 80 stores nationwide, and removed a sh*t ton of manager positions from the stores.
my predictions of the future:
BB becomes a primarily online store the actual box stores get shrunk down to half the size they are now.
BB mobile separates entirely from BB
geek squad gets sold to a outside company and no longer operates under BB ownership
oh and maj btw, that TV sucks horribly, itd be a decent "bedroom" tv or spare room tv, not a primary one that gets used a lot, there are def some quality control issues with it. I took one out of the box once and there were no screws holding the back panel to the tv. The Samsung in the ad for 800 is priced GREAT though
i need to get a job already....

I'm perfectly content with my 55" Samsung LED. I was just pointing out a cheap TV.
Best Buy has bigger problems than staffing. It's hard to hold product when it becomes obsolete so quickly. Managing their inventory is a b*tch, and from what I've read they don't do much on consignment - meaning they buy a TV for $1,600 and have to discount them under their cost when the newer models come out. They've already moved much of their website inventory to "online only" and have pushed their "free shipping to store" approach.
