I didn't know where to put this post so I'm just putting it in "off topic" I have the battery that comes with the 2001 Tiburon and it seems to die quite frequently. It seems like I can listen to five minutes of music with my car off before there won't be enough battery to start the car. Should I get a different battery or what?

My battery would die after twenty minutes. It was a year old, but it was an el cheapo. I replaced it with a red top optima. The other day I accidentally left my lights on for about three hours. The car started right up!

How much it cost? If it's not too much I would get one. It's not worth having my car die all the time. And for my system... there's just a headunit. Not much power used there at all. Thats what I didn't get.

I looked into it and Car Toys sells it for $169. My dad said he'd buy a normal battery from Sears for me, but now I want the Redtop one! Where did you get your Java? Maybe I could pay for the difference.

You can get them on ebay for $99 shipped. You just have to find the right seller. I bought mine from AAFES which is a retail store on military installations.

Redtops are the way to go.. and I am probably going to get one before it gets too cold and the car does refuse to start. Four and a half years on the stock battery is definatly getting your money's worth out of it.
