Smile Bad dealership experiences

Anyone ever had a really bad dealer experience?

Tech drop your car off the lift?
Dealer wont fix something under warranty?
Dealer employee scratch or dent up your car?
Sales people totally ignore you when you go to buy a new car?

Lets hear some of the bad situations you've had, and post up the name of the dealer and location so other people dont get screwed over as well!

I would bypass two Hyundai dealerships to take my car 45 miles away to a dealership I trusted. One of the two I bypassed refused to work on my car because of the body kit, and tried scaring me away telling me, "If it falls off the rack because the sideskirts keep us from lifting it properly, we aren't responsible." BS... you can still make sure it gets on the rack properly. They also claimed the body kit may have caused damage to the A/T from "bottoming out" even when I told them it was factory suspension and the fiberglass body kit would shatter before the A/T would get any damage.

Conversely, I had a great experience at the one dealership that did do work for me (replaced tranny, radiator, exhaust manifold, etc.). They appreciated the work I had done on my car and asked about it. They made sure to get me on the jack using wood boards under the wheels to properly lift me up and set me down, and didn't want to claim the body kit or CAI caused damage to warranty items.

When they changed my timing belt, I returned a month later with alternator problems. The service manager looked at the belt and said, "Oh yeah, that needs to be replaced." When I asked why in the world they didn't replace the alternator belt a month earlier when they replaced the timing belt, the Service Manager himself (suit & tie) replaced it right there, with his own hands in the parking lot while wearing his white shirt and tie. No charge. He said it was their oversight and should've been done.

Never been to a hyundai dealer but my buddy has a 2000 celica gts. a few years back he got in an accident and had some good damage including replacing some body panels and new paint. He took it to NORTHWAY TOYOTA (STAY AWAY!!!!) they replaced everything and layed the paint down...they proceeded to lay the factory decal/stripe while the paint was still wet.

Next car wash it came off along with a good portion of the clear coat, he brought it back, they fixed it and put a completely different decal/stripe on lol. He made them change it back, and they put the wrong one on AGAIN. It was fixed for the 3rd time, hasnt brought it back since.

Refused to even look at my transmission under warranty unless I PAID to have a new clutch installed. The clutch is still fine 110k miles later. Even when I took out the factory service manual and pointed to the troubleshooting flowchart the service manager refused to do the warranty repair unless I paid to have a new clutch installed.

Refused to let me test drive the Genesis Coupe, because I didn't want to buy the one on the lot. Three separate visits.

Won't sell you replacement parts without giving them a VIN number.

Failed to reinstall my friend's oil drain plug properly, resulting in him losing the plug and all of his oil during a meet.

All of these and more are courtesy of Titus-Will Hyundai in Olympia, WA.

As an alternative I suggest Robert Larsen Hyundai in Tacoma. They have always treated me well.

You can't forget that when they fixed the lumbar support they stripped a bolt and forgot to add the 4th one.

Hyundai of Wesley Chapel has always been great to me. Went there a bunch for oil filters mostly. But also got some parts and an alignment there. They knew their stuff.

Hyundai of New Port Richey however..... is a different story. Quite weak in the parts dept.
