Default Back in a Nissan

So, I traded my '12 Juke in for an immaculate '06 Trailblazer SS at the start of the year. Then, in August, my '06 Trailblazer SS with only 32k miles on it was stolen (I still miss my baby). I then bought a '14 Jetta TDI to replace it in the middle of October. Bought it because I commute 70+ miles per day and wanted something that gets good mileage. It did great, getting over 600 miles/tank (48 mpg avg). However, I soon realized my commute to work was utterly boring. It had the premium package, so I enjoyed the heated seats and the great Fender audio system, but the car was hopelessly gutless. So, after exactly 60 days (and 2,800 miles) of ownership, I traded it in for a '14 Maxima SV Sport today. I already love it. Heated and cooled seat (and steering wheel), Bose audio, 290HP, dark 19" rims, sport suspension, and nice and roomy. I got Pearl White. Will post pics tomorrow. I'm still thinking about getting a Juke Nismo RS some time next Summer. That will have to wait until I liquidate my Colt and Civic though. I know... I have a car buying problem. LOL.

This isn't my car, but this is what it looks like:

How did you like your Juke? I'm thinking of getting one for the urban commute here in Denver.

I liked it, but not enough power for me. I'm thinking the Nismo RS with the Recaro seats, LSD and 215HP might be enough.

Tested the Nismo Juke a while back.

I was expecting this:

I got this:

I lump it with the Veloster: pretty too look at, but sadly given the wrong motor and needs mods to make it worth my time. The RS should be interesting, but I'm still skeptical.

You know which Nissan my money is going to, so no need to put in my bias 2ยข.

You thought a 1.6L, 190HP SUV was gonna feel like a GTI-R?

That's no more an SUV than my Tiburon is a race car.

And for the record, before anything was published officially there was heavy talk about a 2.0L going in there. My fault for getting my hopes up? Or Nissan's fault for trying to slap the Nismo nomenclature on a pile of crap. Of course I wanted a modern GTi-R! Who doesn't?! It's not like the Pulsar was worth a sh*t either, the GTi-R however was a beast.

I don't know where you heard this "heavy talk". I work for Nissan and it was always going to be a tarted-up standard Juke. Oh, and the pocket rocket is dead. Modern cars are too heavy. If you want a GTI-R, you're gonna have to buy a GTI-R.

I don't mind the Juke, but I wouldn't lump the Veloster turbo in with it at all. The VT is a way sportier vehicle.

If a car is heavy enough to use 290hp at the front wheels, I don't want it.

This was rumored 6 months before the dealers even got wind of it and supposedly "confirmed" by someone at Nismo in Japan.

It was rumored to borrow the MR20 from the Clio, but boosted with "a significant increase in hp." Again, several months before the concept even saw light of day.
