A buddy of mine is getting married this year and a group of us are starting to think about his bachelor party. A couple ideas were to have it in Vegas for a weekend. We would fly in on a Friday morning and party until it was time to fly back Sunday night. No Hangover movie jokes. Its a serious thought but those who have done something like this, is it worth it or is it just better to stay home, go to a strip club, and get drunk there?
you know who benefits goin to vegas for a bachelor party? the guys not gettin married(ie you) you have the best odds on pickin up some strange(that is, if your not married)
vegas is EXPENSIVE, your best bet is to stay local/within a reasonable distance plus its easier to find someone to bail you out if you f*ck up
200 a night on a room, 7-10 dollars a drink, 40 dollars for a basic meal plus gambling = broke
although there are some cool attractions (dont see kris angel or whatever his name is doode sucked)

Rooms aren't $200 a night unless you're staying in some kind of a suite. I've never paid more than $50/night in Vegas.
And where I stayed last time had 99 cent margaritas. And $6-$10 buffet meals. And I don't gamble.
Once you're in Vegas, they're trying to extract your money through gambling, but IMO it is one of the cheaper places to stay if you're not going to gamble.
