Does anyone know of the best school to go to, to get ASE certified ?
UTI >> Universal Technical Institute ?
Im thinking of spending some of my MGI Bill on an ASE certification.

go to a local college. its ALOT cheaper, and u wouldnt have to move. plus you would probably learn more.

Well from what I remember you dont need to go to school to be ASE certified. All you really go to school for is to learn hands on skills. Why dont you go to Lincoln tech??
I remember I wanted to get an ASE in engines I believe, and this guy my dad used to work with let me borrow a book to read (made for people who want to get ase certified..it was like the car bible) and said that if i think I know enough, I go online and find out where a testing center is to take the test. You can also take a sample test.
Maybe one day Ill actually get to it lol...

well yea, from what Ive found, you can take some pretests for 12.50 on www.asecert.org
and then you can go take the real test, but im sure its mad expensive to take so you wouldnt want to fail it.
so then lets say BMW mechanics for instance, are they qualified in anything special, to be a BMW mechanic?
or Ferrari mechanics?
