Ugh,... that bar is crap, it's not solid all the way through.
If they show a picture of the bottom (if it's the same one I think it is) it's beveled out.

Kinda like this if you look at the crosssection of the bar:
-----------
|| | | ||

If you look at the bottom, you'll know what I mean, that's the best way I can describe it, and one of the GK guys has one, and it's CRAP
I can twist /move it with my arm.

Honestly I never trusted ARK, never knew who they were, and didn't really care for what little info they offered us.

yea... consider this a warning to all newbs... haha and myself i guess. it just upsets me that they cant even get the years right on stuff. i mean how hard could it possibly be, especially if you are supplying the actual parts (or making them for that matter). you should at least know what fits what car and what years the car was in production.

Even if the bar was the stiffest thing around, the brackets are sissies. I'm sorry redz but even the one from Kspec (at least the 4-5 that I have seen/purchased) has sissy brackets. It's only like 1/16 think of something. I have a racespex in front and a kspec for the rear. The front front brackets have twice the thickness of the rear. I thought it was because it was the rear and that the front was probably better until I saw one.

I've got the moteria front bar, but the ones Iv'e seen Kspec ship are fine. Never seen any break.

I've also ridden in about 18 different tibs now, and about 3/4 of them had strut bars. Can't say that there was a difference in handling in them.

The BAR is what needs to be beefy. The brackets need to hold the bar in place.

That's about it.

They work together. There is no point in having a very stiff bar if it is poorly held in place. Of course none of them will break, but they "give" a little. Did you drive 18 times tibs with the exact same setup has you? Same tire, ....? Go to a track, make a few laps with one, then a few laps with the other, that would be a proper way of comparing, not by riding in a car equiped with it, you minimally need to drive.

Of course, the difference is not day and night. It is very subtled. I am arguing because the price difference is meaningless, the same price for one or the other. Kspec should get better brackets for their strut bars.

^^^ Agreed. A component is only as strong as its weakest link. The bar might be really buff, but if the bracket is weak, then it will be the bracket that will flex and allow the struts to roll.

I too agree that stronger brackets would encourage me to purchase them (that and brackets that work around the air ram tongue.gif: )
