They say cops dont have quota's, and I've even asked a couple of cops and troopers that I know about this. They even said there are no such things as quaotas. But everyone else I ask says its not true....they do. So what gives? Do cops purposely pull people over more at the end of each month so they can bring in extra points/cash for their department/town, or is just a common misconception? scratchhead.gif wtf.gif

 

This is the True part ^^^^^^ I know this because of my DUI and subsequent Safe driving school courses as mandated by the Judge. One of the Officers was asked this question and that was his reply almost word for word. (they do it because if the Government sees that hey aren't writing tickets then that means they are a disposable asset)

 

Must depends on the town you live in ... I know that in my home town (Montreal) "traffic cops" do have quotas (last year, the town officials sais they raised the quota because the provincial gov. cut the town's subvention money by a few millions!)

 

Officer's don't have "quotas". They have "expected performance standards". This comes from the mouth of a Vegas cop.

 

And if they don't meet those standards...they usually lose their jobs.

So effectively a quota just without hard numbers put to it.

 

I don't know about the areas you guys are at but the cops in my city do not solve crime. They pull a lot of people over for speeding, racing (speeding not racing, they just call it racing to make it look worse), they are on the news every month with corruption charges or beating up strippers or something like that.
Its getting to the point where they are no longer public servants. I think they have god syndrome and its really getting ridiculous. Ive been the victim several times, and they have done nothing. In fact they were mad they had to come to my house.
I can honestly say I hate a good 95% of cops. The 5% are family, and even they tell me things aren't how they used to be.
