This is completely inaccurate. The fundamentals of networking, mainly protocols, has stayed the same for many years. The only thing that really goes obsolete is the hardware and the network operating system itself, even then you wouldn't have to go back to school to learn anything new.


Kudos to you for taking a three year degree. There needs to be more people like you out there. There are way too many instant certification courses out there which produce a lot of overpaid, underskilled network admins.
