Thoes conventions arn`t just filled with 110 lb nerds. Whoever makes fun of convention goers obviously has never been to one.

I`m suprized that SpiffyWerks hasnt added his two cents yet.

ooOoOoO...

I missed this thread. hahahahaha.

Let's see....

2001... I became Vice-President of the West Hills Japanese Animation and Gaming Club... Yeah, so that started my fix.

I started with... Tenchi Muyo!, DragonBall (Normal, Z, GT), Dual Parallel Adventure, Love Hina, Eva, etc etc. Lots of stuff. Oh man.. I went crazy. In a year I had over 130 different series. lol Watched most of them too.

I've gone to Anime Expo 2k2, 2k4, 2k5, 2k6.. In fact, I'm wearing my AX2k3 shirt right now. >_>

Recently, I stopped watching so much anime and I've been watching more J-Dramas. They are just interesting and those women are hot.

Let's see, most current series I have just finished watch and/or am watching...

Anime:
Today in Class 5-2 (Freaking hilarious series)
Naruto - Hurricane Chronicles is badass. smile.gif
Genshiken
Gokusen
NANA
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzmiya - Freaking best series... EVER! > Haruhi for ruler of the world!
Yakitate!! Japan - Never knew I would learn so much about bread from an anime....
Mai Otome
Welcome to the NHK!
Tenchi Muyo OVA 3
Gun Buster 2

Btw: it's not Recent, but I LOVE AI YORI AOSHI! Aoi is the perfect girlfriend.

J-Dramas I'm watching and/or just finished:
Hana Yori Dango (Series 1 & 2)
IGWP
Lunch Queen
Stand Up!! --- HILARIOUS!
Byakuyakou - I definately recommend this. Dark, but great series.
Dating Now (ok, Korean Drama, but still funny)
Sekai no Chuushin - such a sad series.

btw: you can get alot of these dramas from: http://sars.pytjota.com/

But man... I have three 100 CD spindles full, a 208 CD binder full, a 128 CD binder full, and... three 80GB, 250GB, 320GB, and a 500Gb HDDs full of anime. I probably have close to 350+ different series. Doesn't help at work I have a Dual OC-3 Connection I like to download stuff on. lol One day I downloaded 36 GBs of anime before lunchtime hahah. omg... I'm such a geek...

And what's wrong with Anime Expo? I mean look at these cool people:

Melacholy is one of my favs, Kyon is my role model! Be careful with Welcome to the NHK, it started to make me depressed 02.gif. Gunbuster 2 was ok but i like the first one better. Ive got some of the Ai Yori Aoshi manga but lost intrest in it. Either Nodoka from Negima!? or Yakumo from School Rumble is my perfect girlfriend.

The first anime that made be get into it was back in `96. I was in 5th grade and stumbled onto Vampire Hunter D on Sat Anime on the Sci-Fi channel. After that i was hooked and woke up early every Sat at 8 to watch Iria, Green Legend Ran, Record of the Lodoss War, Venus Wars and tons of other late 80s to early 90s animes.

Right now im torrenting GTO, and Full Metal Panic Fumoffu! I love the comedy animes but it allways seems that the funniest ones are the romance comedies. I might have to check out Today in Class 5-2 and Yakitate!! Japan. Your my brotha from anotha motha Spiffy!!!

^^^^

You can watch em on You Tube.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=haruhi+ep+1

But be warned, Haruhi is a series that jumps around. Every ep is out of order. I figured out the order somewhere. The first ep is actually episode 2, and the last episode is episode 7 or 9? But it jumps around all of the place, but a definately awesome series!

This place might help you find it. I usually get my stuff off IRC, so if your on there, jump into irc.enterthegame.net #a.f.k.
