I'm toying around with the idea of picking up a husky (or husky mix) and was wondering if there's any insider thoughts on their general behaviors and tendencies. I'm looking at getting a rescued husky, because it obviously needs a good home.

For the record:

This will be my first dog however; I've loved husky's since a kid because two of my friends had them and they were so playful and loving. While I've never had the experience of actually owning one, I've at least been around them and know they're high maintenance in the attention section.

I had one when I was about 10. Was too strong for my brother (8) or I to take on a walk. Mom couldn't either and dad wasn't home enough to get it what it needed in terms of exercise so we had to sell it.
