my father recently retired and I have been trying to get him into something he will enjoy. I mentioned I saw a show on metal detecting and how I was going to go buy one for him. ends up he did this for many years before I was born but it crapped out when I was like 10 and he pitched it. so we called a few local shops today and got a gti 2500...one of the beastiest detectors within our price range(under 1k).

I tried it out while he was at a corvette meeting with him (he has an old vintage vette he restored).
I have to go buy another one because this thing is really cool
