So my 2003 Elantra didn't get sold and I never picked up a Genesis thanks to work craziness and life. I have been doing way to much driving and the elantra starting showing it's age (140,000 miles on the odo) so I picked up a 2007 Sonata GLS 2.4 auto that is hyundai certified so I keep the 100k warrenty. At 35k now. Paid 10k for it, sticker was 14k. So far I really like it. Much nicer to drive to work in and it is getting about the same gas mileage.... blink.gif. The elantra is still around with the crazy pipedream of putting one of the 2011 sonata's turbo 2.4s in it after I blow up the 2.0 on a bottle. Ill get picks of them together once I get some time off work.
Also, does anyone know where the f@#$ing door chime thing is on a sonata....... That was the first "mod" I did to the elantra and it will be the first on the sonata.
Plans for the new Hyundai:
Rims
HIDs
MAaaayyybbeee lowered.
done.

Nice car. If I wanted a daily sedan it's probably what I would get.
Is the auto 4-cyl Sonata a little on the slow side? I've only driven the V6 auto.

I know in canada on the accent the door chime is a little grey box. If you put your hand to the left of the steering wheel and straight down underneath the dash right there is where mine is.

Not that slow actually. The elantra would tear it apart off the line, but the car can get out of it's own way. The interesting thing is it doesn't run out of breath like my accent would with a similar power/weight ratio. I am honestly not sure what is quicker over 70.. the elantra or the sonata. It is kinda nice in houston im either going 2mph stuck in traffic or running 80 with the other nuts. So it has plenty of torque to find my way through the bumper to bumper stuff and has no problem at speed. The theta motor isn't bad even bolted to a lazy slushbox
Also i think it is the first 4cyl ive driven that has to hit 90 to turn 3k on the highway....

yeah that is where my accents and the elantras is/was.. I think the sonatas under the middle of the console plastic. Going to see if hma has anything, because that dinging is annoying as hell. (yes i wear my seatbelt)

the wytch is back...
I never completely went missing. I did slow down on my posts.. everywhere. I think with the way things are going in life Ill be on the forums more. Especially if I try to do something crazy to the elantra.
Maybe Ill get around to shipping the crowlthings of the destroyed accent as well.... lol
