The annual World Wife Carrying Championship, in its 14th year, has taken place in Sonkajarvi, eastern Finland.
A total of 36 competitors from 13 different nations took part in the championship.
Some participants came from as far away as Australia, Japan and the United States.
This year the title was won by a Finnish couple.
