I would steer clear of Dazzle. For about 115 bucks you can get an ATI Radeon All-in-Wonder 7500 which is a new graphics card for your PC. It uses an AGP slot so you need to have one of those open. It has S-Video in and out, composite video in and out (RCA) and has a built in TV tuner so you can record and pause live TV. It has TV out so you can watch what you recorded on a big screen. The card has 64MB of memory and is a darn good graphics card as well as capture card. It comes with a USB remote that works off of RF signal, so it can be used from almost anywhere.

If you don't have an AGP slot, or purchasing this card would actually be downgrading your video, then go with something like Dazzle.

Here is a link to various prices on the All-in-Wonder

So, for about 40 bucks more you get a device that can do sooooooooo much more for you than just capture video. I actually built a PC based in Antec's new PC case that makes it look like a stereo receiver and have that in my entertainment system at home. It cost a little more than a Tivo to build and I don't have the monthly fees.

Yeah, I was going to mention that in my first post, but I tried to keep it geek free. The Dazzle device is really limited by the fact that it is a USB device, and that your PC is doing all of the work. With the ATI, your transfer speed is limited to the AGP bus, which is much quicker. The graphics card itself also does a lot of the grunt work so it's a little more forgiving if your PC isn't up to snuff.

The ATI is just a damn cool toy to have!!

When I ahd my old computer, I bought a ATI TV Wonder, which is the TV part of the All-In-Wonder.

If you don't want a second graphic card, this is another option.
