Actually the whole BMI stuff is BS.. It doesn't take body fat % into any consideration. According to the BMI I'm overweight but I am marathon training and up to doing 12 miles on my long runs. I dont think an overweight person who has had two knee surgeries could do that. Now I think right now my body fat % is around 18 or so. But nevertheless I dont doubt America is the fattest country I just dont think the BMI system is accurate in detemining being overweight/obese

it's not accurate.. it is just a Body mass index. Simply put, muscle weighs more than fat.. the fitter you are, the heavier you are.

My sis, who has always been a very fit person went through this when she was pregnant. She stopped working out on Doctor's orders.. and then got constantly yelled at for not gaining enough weight.. simply put, she was losing all her muscle mass and replacing it with fat.

She wound up with super high blood pressure and bed rest for the last month of her pregnancy due to that.

Yea I dont think it is an acc measurement one because it says Im over weight, but I have a 32/33 in waist. Also for wrestling they said I couldnt go below a certain weight because of the 7% body fat rule and that weight would put me as a very high normal weight. But yea Im pretty sure the US wins for obesity.

Hey guys, I am not a US citizen nor live in the US, but I go visit you almost every year...
I have realized that salads are not much of the favorite food up there and I was wondering, is it because most of the people simply does not like to eat vegetables over a 1/2 lb burger? Or do you think if americans were presented to fancier salads (more than just the regular lettuce/tomato) freshly prepeared and with more ingredients to choose from, healthier yet good dressings, etc, would it be a more popular meal?
From what I have seen salads are all around as an entree or side to non so healthy meals... but it's not that people actually goes to eat salads idk... I was thinking a salad fast food chain could do it; but what would be your opinion to it?
