Everyone has the same rights as everyone else. IF a queer wants to get married they can. To someone of the opposite sex (because that's what marriage is).
Man to woman, woman to man, just like it has been for 6,000 years since the first two people. Married IS a man and a woman committed to each other. They should ideally be of the same religion and have lots of children. People who are not the same religion either have problems or one abandons their religion. People who can't have kids, well, there's no way to know how big a hole in the heart that can be, but they can adopt. With a man and a woman rearing them, who the children know love them and each other and are committed to "working it out" no matter what, children grow up knowing that the whole world isn't insane, and they have a better chance of turning into Good People.
If you call yourself married, man to man, or woman to woman, you are not. You can call it some kind of a civil union for tax purposes, and insurance and whatnot (and this is what they should be going for, there would be WAY less pushback from normal people), but it's not married. The odds (statistics) are way, WAY higher that queer couples who "marry" will split up, and while they are together, that they will abuse each other. If they adopt children, or make babies with the turkey baster, those children will grow up more likely to have behavioural/mental problems and they are FAR more likely to be abused physically or sexually. This is not conducive to making them into Good People when they grow up.
You can call yourself purple if you want, but it doesn't mean it's true, even if it makes you feel better.
You can say you are married to your dog but it doesn't mean you are, even if saying so makes you feel better.
Words mean things. Married means man+woman=family, and it always has.
Sure there are some queers who are otherwise good people. Most of them wish the activists would shut the hell up about the whole subject so they could just live their lives in peace, and the rest of the world should let them. What goes on behind closed doors is your business if you are doing it with another consensual adult. But when you are trying to upset the longest-standing traditions in the world, expect some pushback from the people who like the way God set things up. And if you don't think God minds whether or not you bugger your partner, you're sure to find out the hard way at the judgment.
