ok, so to start off where i'm working is shutting down in 2 months. i've applied at Oshkosh Corp, they make the military trucks, it's probably the best job around a good radius right now. i haven't got called back, i've called twice. so i figure i'm only 22 i was thinking bout going back to school cause they would have to pay 2 yrs and unemployment for me. so i figure if i can't get hired at Oshkosh Corp, go back to school for a Pharmacy Technician; it's only a year and for a certificate but after that i was looking at taking classes for a Medical Assistant or Dental Hygenist Assistant. that way i'm not pushing myself to hard at school. both are only for certificates but i looked up the hiring rate and it's above 88%. after working in a factory for 4 years i'm done; that's good enough work experience out in the field. i'm looking at something no so dirty and tiredsome now.

any help from anyone would be greatful or if anyone can tell me more about what i want to go for. i've read the facts on FVTC's site bu it's not to in depth, just class info and stuff.

My sister just graduated from a 7 month Dental assistant program. Medical Assistants make much more, and I think it's the same length of time.

If you can go to school for Pharmacy, I think the top 10% of pharmacists make over $100,000/year. You start out making GOOD money, but you've almost topped out. That's a really good thing to pursue if you're having school paid for. You can also work part time in a pharmacy while going to school. That would be my suggestion.

if it's paid for, go for full schooling, not a 12 month certificate program. Fork up the rest of the money for another 2 years and get a full degree. If you bust your ass, you can get done in 3-3.5 years by taking Maymester and Summer classes.
