I wonder if the driver ignored the train crossing signals or if they were not working properly.

 

6 dead, 31 injured. I live in Ottawa. Train crossing arms were down. Apparently the passengers on the bus were yelling at the driver to stop, he hit the brakes too late. That is only what I heard, not sure if there is any truth to it. Interested in knowing what happened. You see this kind of stuff on the news all the time, you feel horrible, but when it happens in your own hometown, it scares the heck out of you. I heard about it on the radio, I was working in a customers home installing an a/c today. At noon hour I asked the customer to put on the news so we could see the story. Myself, the guy I was working with and the customer just stared silently at the t.v while the story was on. I almost started to cry watching some of the pictures from the crash scene. Some of the accident accounts told by passengers that were on the bus were extremely graphic and gruesome. My condolences to everyone affected by this horrible accident.
