For our 3rd Anniversary my wife and I took our KDM dog up to Red River New Mexico and had a great time. Stayed at a wonderful B&B there and were treated like kings. The weather was perfect, the scenery, well, you'll see that below, but very nice all around. I wouldn't mind doing a BBQ up there one day, maybe next year. Anyways, thought ya'll would love the pics.

Red River is a very prosperous town for skiing and summer getaways just NE of Taos New Mexico. They have some of the best skiing in the world, and in the spring and summer you can run ATV's all over the place or take a horse up to the old mines. The tallest mountain in the area is 13K feet I belive, Mount Whitney, and Red River recieved 220 inches of snow this winter. We stayed at the River Street Bed & Breakfast $125 a night.

Here you go (Clickable).

Below is from the trip back, the Rio Grand Gorge Bridge. Awesome scenery. Loved the visit there, I want to raft down it this summer. It's over a 800 foot drop from the middle of the bridge.

The mountains just east of Taos. Note Mt. Whitney.

Pics of the tib, pretty damned nice actually, about an hour before I got a flat on the way back, while we were stopped at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.

Red River rules.

Maybe we do the spring BBQ up there next year? Round this time of year?

Why not do a summer/end of summer one up there? Sort of "escape the heat" kinda thing.

Unless you guys LIKE playing in snow...
