0-60 in 6 seconds



0-100 in 10 seconds



0-200 in 17 seconds



0-500 in 35 seconds



Mach 1 in 56 seconds (Mach 1 at that altitude is a lot faster than at sea level, hence the longer time)



Now watch him start to accelerate! Astronauts say that after the sound barrier, the G's start going up dramatically. It's that last bit of acceleration that just nails you to your seat. The first 0-100 is nothing comparatively.
