2nd job
Curious how many people work a 2nd job. Im thinking about getting a small part time one waiting tables. I dont need it to pay bills but it would be nice just to have a little extra spending cash coming in and for car stuff this summer.

Im a club DJ that travels all over. I have a weekly residency at the cities #1 rated nightclub, and a monthly residency in NYC. I also travel alot to other cities for bookings. It COULD be a full time job if I wanted to make it that way, but not interested in doing so. It pays VERY well, and I get to do it outside of my regular full time career. I'd say if you have the time and dont mind working 2 jobs....do it up.

I made great money when I was waiting tables... as much as $30-35/hr on Friday and Saturday nights.
If I were to get a second job, it'd be at a high end restaurant working on Fri/Sat nights. We sat tables between 5-9pm, sometimes we were there as late as midnight but usually 10:30-11. A good night was making over $200 (happened often) but a few times I made as much as $300 in one night (maximum 6-7 hours)... plus a free $30 meal at the end of the night and drinks. A bad night was making only $100... normal was $150-215 (mostly cash).
I have a friend who cleans businesses as his second job... spend 3-4 hours every Friday night to get paid $50. Totally not worth it in my opinion... restaurants are where it's at!!
