god, this again. This is such OLD news. The HCD-8 is a concept at best but not a Tib. There seem to be plans for the next generation Tib in which it is a hard top convertable. In any case, the Tib looks to be around for awhile. Hyundai finally got this car sexy and sellable.

that convertible was built only to gain public demand and experience to come out with a 2008 model for the re-designed hyundai.
OK, now that that's clear, Random owned.gif me. But that source is from Automobile Magazine... if that Sonata Coupe rumor is true, how could they afford to run two coupes?
I still think the smart move would be to just turn the Tiburon into a little devil. lmao.gif That would get their reputation where they need to!

I'm quoting myself here... note what I'm about to say. Now I hear the GK is going to get another face lift in 2007 based off of the 2003 Line and the actual complete from scratch re-styling of the car won't appear anywhere until some quarter in 2008. That means the convertible version might not be available until 2009 or 2010. This reminds me of the 2000-2001 facelift the 2000 Tiburons had which were only produced for one year... Well... at least they didn't take a successful line of car away like they did the Celica and Prelude!
Isn't it crazy, takes Hyundai almost 15 years to come out with an actual Coupe convertible. I wish we had Mustang reps because they've been doing convertibles since 1965...
