The are some states that do not like the bottle being hooked up. I knew couple of people that had nitrous on there street bikes and MA state tropper made him cut the line to the tank.

You don't cut the line. You disconnect it and then you are considered a transport vehicle, which requires a special permit in some places.

You can bet I would. I would also ask why he would want mr to cause damage to a piece of equipment when it could be disabled just as easy. I would also make sure to ask while standing in front of the video camera, holding a wrench in my hand if that was the only way. Braded steel hose ain't cheap. There is no justification to physically cut a line that can be unscrewed.

I wouldn't go that far, but I did quite a bit of research on laws regarding nitrous for states which were relevant to me. I did this both when I installed my system and before I drove cross country from south Carolina to California to Montana to Louisiana. I would say I have a pretty firm grasp on the nitrous laws. California is the only state which I researched that does not allow the bottle in your car except for fill-ups and on the way to the track. In which case I would say "I'm driving around looking for a track and stopping to ask for directions."
