Default one Nawz question, one AEM question

sorry for the unrelatedness of these but here goes:
1. i'm waiting (and waiting) on the SR CAI, but if i can pick up an AEM from them, is it worth it? i know AEM is top quality, but you still can't escape the fact that the filter is in the engine bay and not the fender.
2. i will eventually get a zex kit and spray the 75 shot, and i hear good things about the zex plugs, but are they appropriate for the 85% of the time when i WON"T be spraying?
thanks

1. AEM's filter sits in the fender, not in engine bay. How do I know this? I am a proud owner of one.
2. It is not safe to go 75 shot with zex. Well.. it is not safe to go 75 shot with any system without some upgrades.

Spiffy nice photography...bet ya had to bend in some different ways to get them pics to....lol As for the 75 shot of Zex nitrous....hmmm...easy install, but as far as I know it doesnt have a failsafe if it runs to rich/lean. Venom does. mmmmmm...venom. However, I do know that Arcadio is running 75 shot of Zex in his car. (He was the 2001 Tib in Sport Compact Car) HIs name is arn on the boards here. Ask him what he thinks. Good Luck

Spiffy was the first AEM car

And i was the first VENOM
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

75 with ZEX... your walking on a thin rope
You can probably get away with it... but it something goes slighty wrong... bye bye engine

For the spark plugs... you can run around with the zex plugs all day

I did for 2 months and i travel about 3k miles per month

i tend to disagree with everyone's adivce against using a 75 shot on the stock block. here's why. my best friend's miata can handle like twice that much, or so the big miata tuners say, and i would ask some of the mods what they think. they tend to know alot about this stuff.

oh turbulence

Dont get me wrong

the internals can take a 75, but the fuel cant

Stock pump gives out around a 65 shot... injectors around a 75

Internals can handle up to 220WHP

They held up at 186whp and 200tq with me
You wont achieve an 80 shot with a stock pump and stock injectors unless you go wet

OK as long as you are using a zex system you should be ok. the only mod you need is the cooler plugs. your cars computer and the zex system will keep your engine safe. you will need to retard your timing if you get any bigger than a 75 shot. you would either need a timing retarder or a complete ignition system to acheve this. as for your car running during normal driving with the colder plugs, you won't have a problem

NO!
NO!
NO!
NO!

Look people... im a former ZEX user
The stock system WILL NOT HANDLE A 75!!!!!!!!!!

Yes he needs colder plugs (2 or get the ZEX plugs)

You atleast need a bigger pump... after that im not sure how healthy your engine is with a 75
If the bottle pressure goes up towards 1100 or 1200.... be careful because your injectors can only take so much
And you need to retard your timing even with a 75
