You forgot Slipsteams. I know they fit, 'cause I had 'em on mine. wink.gif

Out of curiosity, I know the '06 Elantra is the same bolt pattern, but what about the bore? Is it 73mm also?

Are rings needed with the 73mm bore rims (on the Tib or Elantra)? I ask because my Slipstreams fit my '01 Tib perfectly without rings and I don't know what size bore they were.

Thanks.

EDIT: I also own a 350Z and was looking at the P45's. Just wanted to point out a small problem with your site/shopping cart. The P45F's and P45R's are usually bought in sets of 2, since the F's are for the front and the R's are for the rear. When you add them to the cart, it adds 4 and there's no way to change it to 2. Maybe set it up so when you add these to the cart, it adds 2 instead of 4. Just a suggestion.

^JLB actually recently helped me source a replacement 16" slipstream for my tib, and they had very few left in our bolt pattern. I had to settle for flat black because Rota just doesn't have stock on our size anymore.

I have hubcentric rings with wheel spacers and my slipstreams are 73mm. It's a snug fit.

i8acobra,
I definitely didn't forget about the Slipstreams cool.gif . They are simply out of stock right now at Rota. I listed the current stock of 4x114.3 wheels so you guys would know what is available right now. Rota makes the 4x114.3 Slipstreams but they are currently all out of stock.

We've sold many sets of P45, a lot of people use them in an symmetrical setup on their vehicle. The people who want a staggered set can contact us as there are usually problems with Rota not having either the front or rears in stock (sometimes neither are available).

We've been around long enough to know whats going on cool.gif

Tibbychick,
Thanks, I was the one who talked to you via email. It is unfortunate that Rota doesn't have more wheels available for the Slipstreams, and I remember that your particular replacement took 2 tries to get in because Rota couldn't find it on the first attempt.

Ive never actually heard of bore when ordering wheels. Can this be explained a little? Every wheel Ive bought has just been on size, bolt pattern, and offset and they always work?

The 97-01 Tiburon uses a 67.1 mm hub bore. The hub bore is the size of the hub on your car. Wheels are usually made in the "universal" 73 mm hub size. So in most cases you can fit the wheel on your car as long as it has the 73 mm hub size. However, the wheel will not be hub centric. The wheels aren't required to be hub centric but if you want it to be hub centric you can purchase hub centric rings. We sell HCRs for $15 for a set of 4 polycarbonate rings or $20 for the metal version.

Do you know if Rota will be stocking the slipstreams in 4x114.3 in the future, or are they phasing that out since it's such an off size?

So, I guess I must've had the 67.1mm bore then. Sucks they don't have 'em anymore. I was wanting a set in Gunmetal or Gold for my '06 Elantra. On that note... Is the '06 Elantra 67.1mm also? I'd prefer to have a snug fit without needing rings.

EDIT: NVM... looks like Rota doesn't have ANY 16" or 17" 4x114.3 rims with a 67.1mm bore. Guess I'm stuck with 73mm with rings.

Really? I've been into the 350Z scene for 2 years and I've never seen anyone run F's or R's all around. I understand you're in the business, so you see more than me, but I've never even heard of doing that. The offsets are all wrong. Either way, it was just a suggestion.

Do you happen to know the weight of these rims? I wanna grab some rims but I don't wanna have heavier rims than the stock ones which I think are around 18Ibs. I thinking about grabing 16" rims hopefully around 16.5Ibs each. And how does your wheel+tire deal work? Is there a discount for buying them packaged together (such as mounting and balancing free) or are they just a combination of the prices?

Also someone explain the offset # to me? Is it how far the rim extends outwards from the car compared to stock?

Almost all Hyundai models are 67.1 except for the Accent as far as I know. Hub centric rings aren't a bad thing at all considering that it is the same as having the wheel hub centric.

For a wheel and tire quote please contact me via PM on this forum, thank you!
